📖 Read: The new school in Ain Zitouna أقرأ
Ain Zitouna is a small village near Béja. Last year, the old school was too small for the children.
One evening, the people of the village met. Mr Salah, the builder, said: “I can build the walls.” Mr Moncef, the carpenter, said: “I can make the doors and the desks.” Mrs Naima, the farmer, said: “I can give food to the workers.” Everybody agreed.
They worked together every weekend. When Mr Salah was sick, the young men carried the stones for him. The baker brought fresh bread and the painter painted the walls blue and white.
Three months later, the new school was ready! Now the teacher, Miss Olfa, teaches thirty happy children there. The village even won a competition for the best village project.
Each job is important. Together, we are stronger!

We can make the name of a job or a person from a verb: verb + -er = noun.

If the verb ends in -e, add only -r: bake ➡️ baker, drive ➡️ driver, write ➡️ writer.
Careful: some jobs don’t follow the rule: carpenter, doctor, nurse, vet.
نصنع اسم الفاعل أو المهنة بإضافة er إلى الفعل: build (يبني) ➡️ builder (بنّاء). إذا انتهى الفعل بـ e نضيف r فقط: bake ➡️ baker.

A model text to compare with (after writing mine)
I like the job of a builder. My uncle Kamel is a builder in Gabès. He works outside every day. He builds houses, schools and hospitals. He works with other builders and a carpenter. His job is hard, but it is very important: people need homes and children need schools. I want to be a builder, because I like to make big things with my hands.
One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
